What is Grace?
The word, ‘Grace’ comes from the Greek root ‘Charis’ which means — ‘God in Christ’ (our representative) blesses humanity and makes them unlimited, unmerited, unending, mercy, gifts, health, wealth, acceptance, forgiveness, joy, etc. Let us study some more verses to fully grasp the meaning of grace.
Romans 5:18–19 “Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.”
When we study the above scriptures, we come across two people. The first person being Adam, through whose disobedience the entire mankind was plunged in the hands of the devil and consequently into death and darkness, which is bad news! But the good news is the last Adam i.e., “Christ” whose obedience immersed and filled the entire humanity into life and light. Many people have argued about what actually is the first sin committed by Adam and Eve?
