Take Part in His Glory
The bible goes on to say in Luke 24:30 that he sat at the table (NKJV) with them, the word ‘sat’ in Greek is ‘kataklino’ which is a combination of two words i.e. ‘kata’ means ‘for’ and ‘klino’ means to ‘bow down.’ So then those at the table bowed down for him in an act of worship, then he took the bread, gave thanks, and broke it and began to give it to them. In these last days, God is looking for those sons and daughters who will be full of thanksgiving. They will open their mouths only for thanksgiving and never for grumbling. They are those who are marked for the displaying of his glory.
The ones who will be grumbling and complaining will be destroyed but the ones who would be thanking will display his glory. The Bible says that not only he gave thanks but also broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and when they ate it then ‘Zoe’- the eternal life started entering them. What did Zoe do? In John 6:53, Jesus once said like this, that unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no Life. So, Zoe i.e. God kind of life is there in his flesh and in his blood. What does that flesh and blood do? It makes us stand in these last days. In other words, we will be victorious every day because of his body and blood. In John 6:53–55, “Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.” Jesus himself said unless you eat So for Zoe life to be activated in us, we must be partaker of his body and blood; when we partake from his table then our being is renewed. In other words, our being is filled with life. That flesh and blood goes into our body, into our being, and produces life. When we eat natural food it goes into our system and mixes with our physical system, builds our muscles, bones, provides vitamins, etc., and become one and the food which does not mix is rejected and thrown out of the body. Exactly like this, the flesh and blood of Jesus goes into our spiritual being and produces ‘life’.
Jesus once said that your forefathers ate the manna and died at the desert, but I am the bread that came down from heaven, those who partake of me will never die here (John 6: 48–53). Here Jesus was talking of immortality which was hidden in him. By partaking in him we have eternal life. Jesus was using the connotations of physical eating of the manna of Israelites to his flesh and blood. In the world of witchcraft, people who wanted to be superhuman used to drink human blood which was absolutely forbidden in the Bible. But Christ comes in the New Testament, tells us to partake of his blood and body through the table he prepared for us in midst of our enemy to destroy him as we read in 1 Corinthians 11:26, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
The word ‘proclaim’ in Greek is ‘Katangello’ which is a combination of ‘kata’ meaning ‘for’ and ‘angelos’ meaning ‘angels’, the direct meaning of the word ‘Katangello’ is ‘report’–so everything we partake of the table, we are creating a report for the angels and the unseen demonic world, that we are washed and stamped with the Blood of Jesus and we are heirs of his salvation.
